We are a group of educated, professional models who saw a void in the fashion industry after the end of Ebony Fashion Fair. Standing tall after rejection, strife, and adversity, we united as One Strut, which is not just an entertainment group but a ministry. A ministry representing perseverance, purpose, courage, and faith. Through our gifts and talents, we seek to inspire others to see themselves as God sees them; fearfully and wonderfully made. We encourage women of all shapes, sizes, and skin tones to walk boldly and confidently in the gifts that God has given them. Lauren Allen
With years of experience Lauren was able to grow confident enough to know that if she wanted to be accepted in the fashion, beauty, or entertainment world without changing her size, look, or expectations for herself, she would have to create her own mold. One Strut has become that mold plus more. Currently, besides being a One Strut model, Lauren is a marketing and producing guru and has worked with many companies such as Dick Clark productions, Stevie Wonder’s premier Los Angeles radio station, the University of Southern California, Kia of Downtown LA, Shapes Brow Bar, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, DPSS, and more. Lauren’s goal is to help diversify the beauty and fashion world not just by skin color, shape and size, but by creativity and self-acceptance.
Nikol Davis
Poised and confident are two words often used to describe Nikol Davis’ runway swagger. Beginning her career at the age of two, it’s Nikol’s extensive dance background and bubbly personality that characterizes her signature catwalk style and flair. This California native has been featured in New York, LA, and Georgia Peach Fashion Weeks, as well as fashion shows aired on multiple television networks. In addition to her runway accomplishments, she has also been featured in various print campaigns, commercials, and television appearances.
Nikol is founder of NIKOL Talent Group, where she collectively draws on her runway experience and creativity to coach aspiring models and develop catwalk choreography that wows audiences. Finding joy in using her passion to help others, some of her favorite runway coaching accomplishments include various fashion weeks, Co-Op/Upward Bound’s “Swing N2 Fashion”, the Couture for College Benefit Fashion Show, and Fashionista in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
Nikol has a BA in Business Marketing from Loyola Marymount University, and is a proud producer for the Oprah Winfrey Network and Harpo Productions where she lends her creative talents to various TV programs, Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations podcast, as well as Oprah interviews and Book Club content for Apple TV+.
